Branding/Logo Design

The Illinois State Police hosted a 100 year anniversary logo design contest. The criteria for the new logo was to celebrate the past, as well as the future of the Illinois State Police. To do this I did research to find that the original headquarters of the Illinois State Police was in Kankakee and the badge featured a five point star. The headquarters was later moved to Springfield, Illinois state capital, where it is still located today. Once headquarters were moved to Springfield, the star badge became a six-point star. The colors chosen hold tradition to the Illinois State Police with a slight variation. Multiple designs were submitted to show versatility.
